Joe Hudak, creator.

Joe grew up in a nutrient solution of overly sugared breakfast cereals and saturday morning television. He earned (some would say purchased) a degree in studio art and enjoyed an eclectic career path that has included successful positions in user support, network management, graphic design, publishing and technical consulting. Recently realizing that he was spending his life making someone else’s dreams come true and not his own, he started the Open Studios Project to try and fix that. In his spare time he also draws, paints, throws pots, screenprints his own graphics, builds things, reads things and tries not to watch TV.

Jason Kohlbrenner, Web Developer.

Jason comes from the mean streets of Syracuse NY, causing mayhem and getting tattooed like a soccer hooligan. Showing early promise with all things computer and creative, he has focused his sights on subjects that straddle those two aptitudes. Filmmaking, web development and other multidisciplinary pursuits are among his passions.

Jon Reisenweaver, Hardware Supplier.

By day, Jon spends his time keeping the computers at the University of Vermont happy and margarita-free and developing cool images and code for special projects, but by night he turns into our very own personal Q branch. With technical advice and generous donations of time and equipment, he keeps the dream alive and kicking. Without Jon’s tireless efforts, the Mile Project would still be on the back of a cocktail napkin.

Alanya Sheen, West Coast Liaison.

When she’s not creating great design for the U Dub marketing machine and helping out the Mile Project, Alanya lives and loves in the UV zap light for technophiles, coffee addicts and fleeing Californians everywhere, Seattle, Washington.
Also helping the Mile Project are: Illustration Friday, Penelope Dullaghan, HOW magazine, Bo, the "eat more kale" guy, False 45th, Lee Arts Center, the Firehouse Gallery, Shawn Richards design, Speeder & Earl's, Uncommon Grounds, and the thousands of people who have drawn for the project.
